Unlikely Location: Derelict Buildings

Derelict buildings are places that people find scary as there is no certainty what has inhabited the buildings and has been used in several horror films. The dark, abandoned look of this particular location (St Andrews asylum) has been abandoned for a number of years and the dark corridors and peeling paint looks very horror.

An example of a horror film set in an asylum is Jacob's Ladder.

The problem with this location is it is guarded by security and getting access to film is unlikely. This is the   case with most derelict buildings.
